A Very Encouraging Tuesday Afternoon

A Very Encouraging Tuesday Afternoon

Hello all, we hope you and yours are doing well.

I wanted to share another example of God’s faithfulness.

This past Tuesday we arrived at the Dollar General around 12:40 to set up for the outreach. It was pouring. I mean pouring rain. I told everyone to wait for a few minutes to see if it would blow over. I watched the clouds for about 15 minutes and they didn’t move at all. It just kept coming down. I checked the weather map and this storm was supposed to be stalled out right on top of us for the next hour.

I briefly thought about canceling, thinking that very few would come out, but I had already seen a few of the people we minister to arriving for the outreach. And I knew that I could not sit in my car, staying dry, while they were standing in the rain waiting on us. So I texted the team, “I guess we are getting wet today” and got out and started unloading.

By the time we had finished setting up the canopy, not only had it stopped raining, we had a line of people waiting.

God just wanted us to take that step of faith by stepping out into the storm and then he blessed us by stopping it. He brought out more people than usual and we were able to have several fruitful and encouraging conversations.

Thank you Lord, so very much for your goodness and faithfulness.

In other news, we are close to having our nonprofit set up. We have incorporated and have our tax id. We have our board in place and are working on bylaws and policies among other paperwork. The next step is applying for tax exempt status.

As I mentioned in a previous update, we have two churches that are very close to where we do our outreach that are considering partnering with us for the outreach. This is extremely encouraging.

We would like to ask you to join us in praying for all these things and for God’s continued provision as the costs of setting up the nonprofit and the steadily increasing number of people we are ministering to have greatly depleted our ministry account over the last several weeks.

We thank you in advance for your prayers and support.

We love you and may God bless you.
