Hello everyone, we hope you and yours are doing well. In a little over an hour, Melissa and I will be once again boarding a plane. We took two trains from Ternopil to Krakow and now we are flying from Krakow to Manila by way of Warsaw, Frankfurt and Bangkok. Over 48 hours of travel and 6 time zones.
We had originally planned to go to Tbilisi Georgia before Manila but God had other plans. Our flight from Tbilisi to Manila was canceled due what is going on in the Middle East and we couldn’t find another flight that we felt confident about.
Unfortunately, having to change and book flights on short notice, changes in train travel and housing rentals caused us to incur some unexpected costs. But we trust that God will provide.
Staying in Ternopil longer was truly a blessing because we had the opportunity to get to know the ministry team there a lot better, experience the culture on a different level and get some unplanned but much needed rest.
Going to Manila early also looks to be fruitful as it will allow us time to spend a few days with Pastor Andy Castillo and missionary Carmen Morrissey at Calvary Chapel Community Church before the rest of the team from CCLBURG arrives for the scheduled work at ACYC with the Mooks.
We thank you for your prayers and support and if anyone feels led to help offset the additional costs, it would be greatly appreciated.
As always much love and may God bless you.
Derek and Melissa
