So much to tell you

So much to tell you

Hello everyone, we hope and pray that all of you are doing well.

Exciting news on a few fronts.

First, we are in the process of making Buchanans in the Wild a nonprofit organization. Once we get at least 3 board members in place, we can get everything submitted pretty quickly. So pray about God bringing the right people along side us in this endeavor.

Second, Melissa is scheduled to be going back to Tbilisi Georgia (the county not the state)for 10 days in mid-late September. She will be part of team going over to the Havertape’s with a women’s conference at Calvary Chapel Sakartvelo. They will be teaching at the conference, Please pray for safety, wisdom and boldness.

Third, yesterday at our weekly outreach in SE Roanoke a gentleman named Gumaro (I probably did not spell that correctly) gave his life to the Lord and repented his use of drugs and the lifestyle that comes with addiction, so much so that he asked us for help to get clean. I am happy to say that Jeff C. got him checked into detox today and started the process to have him transferred to a year long, Bible based rehab facility. Praise God.

Fourth, the S.E.R. (southeast Roanoke) team is almost finished compiling a list of resources available for the homeless, impoverished and/or drug addicted people in SE Roanoke. It will include a step by step procedure for multiple different rehab facilities laid out for those who want to break free from addiction, locations and requirements of food/clothing banks, free laundry and showers for homeless, etc.  And very soon we will have a QR code that will link to that list on our website. We will also be providing hard copies to those who don’t have a phone and sharing the list with all of the ministries and organizations working with homeless in Roanoke. Please pray for wisdom and speed for this, including Gumaro,  I personally know 5 individuals yesterday who asked for help getting off heroin or ice.

Fifth, yesterday I had conversations with 3 different individuals, all homeless addicts, who said everyone on the streets in S.E.R. knows and loves us, they respect and appreciate us and see that we do truly care for them. They said that we are making an impact in the community. All glory to God. Not I but Christ in me.

As always, your prayers and support are needed and appreciated.

We love you and may God bless you.
