Hello everyone. We hope you are doing well. Melissa and I are still in Nizhyn Ukraine with the team from Calvary Chapel Lynchburg.
Over the past few days we have been working on the Calvary Chapel Nizhyn building and property. We have helped install a septic tank and built a roof over the main entrance to the church that will later become a porch.
But the best part is that Pastor Vadim had us tear down the metal wall in front of the church. For now it will be replaced with a fence but people will be able to see through the fence.
You might ask why this is so significant. And I’m glad if you did.
In Ukraine, (at least in Nizhyn), almost every property like this is behind a wall, so not having the wall will draw a lot of attention to the church. People in the neighborhood will be able to see the activities happening on the property. They will be curious as to what is going on at the church.
Vadim has a vision of one day not even having a fence, just completely open. But for now , a fence is still necessary to protect the property.
This coming Sunday members of our team have been asked to teach at three different Calvary Chapels in the region, I have been asked to teach here at Calvary Chapel Nizhyn. Please pray for me and the others for that.
